The Payconiq application is intricately linked to both the user's phone number and bank account(s), adhering to rigorous banking security standards. The default transaction limit is set at €2,500, with the flexibility to adjust limits based on personal preferences. It is important to note that funds may take one business day to become available due to the reliance on SEPA bank transfers.

Users can quickly activate their accounts by linking the app to their bank account. The activation process is straightforward, with guided prompts within the application.

Payconiq streamlines peer-to-peer money transfers. By selecting a contact from the address book and entering the desired amount, users can execute transactions swiftly. Once initiated, recipients receive an SMS or push notification. Those who have activated Payconiq will receive funds instantly, while new users will receive an invitation to subscribe before funds are transferred upon activation.

The app also allows users to request funds seamlessly from any contact—offering an efficient way to ask for reimbursements from friends or family. Notifications are sent as soon as payments are initiated.

In-Store Payment with Payconiq QR Codes

In-person transactions are made contactless through Payconiq’s QR code feature. Users merely need to open the app, scan the QR code presented by the cashier, and confirm their payment using biometric or PIN verification.

Bill Payment with QR Codes

The efficiency of bill payment is enhanced using Payconiq QR codes. By scanning the code on a bill and confirming the payment, users can complete transactions in under ten seconds for services like insurance and utility bills—wherever Payconiq is accepted.

This feature extends into dining as well; patrons can settle their bills without delay by scanning the QR code provided and leaving tips if desired.

Payment in Other Apps & Online Stores

Payconiq also extends its functionality to selected online platforms and services such as topping up accounts. Payments are processed securely through an easy click interface. Notably, no sensitive banking information is stored or exchanged during transactions, reinforcing user safety through authenticated payments via fingerprint or PIN.
